Most frequent questions and answers
On average, eyelash extensions can last up to 4 weeks depending on how fast your natural eyelashes grow and shed. Natural eyelashes grow in and fall out in cycles (every 60 to 90 days). People typically shed between 1 and 5 natural lashes each day, depending on their individual growth cycles. With proper care and maintenance, touch-ups are typically only needed once every 2 to 4 weeks to replace the lashes that have shed.
At Wink Lash Studio we only use Xtreme Lashes adhesives. Formaldehyde is NOT an added ingredient in any Xtreme Lashes adhesives. Our adhesives are made using the same properties and ingredients found in medical-grade adhesives. Medical-grade adhesives are used by surgeons to close wounds without stitches, a practice called suture-less wound closure. Additionally, FlexFusion® Adhesive with Rapid Cure Technology®, our #1 selling medical-grade cyanoacrylate adhesive, was created in a US-based FDA registered facility that specializes in medical adhesives.
Strip lashes (or falsies) should not be worn with eyelash extensions. You should also avoid picking or pulling on extended eyelashes. Doing so, can cause damage to the lash extensions as well as the natural lashes.
Keep your Eyelash Extensions dry within the first 3 hours. Avoid exposure to excessive perspiration, water or humidity from activities such as showering, swimming, hot yoga, exercise, sauna, etc.
